Together with the University of St.Gallen, we at HSG Alumni have always been committed to the promotion of lifelong learning and the creation of an HSG community. I am pleased to announce that these efforts are now being formalised in the context of the revision of the University Act and the University Statutes.
At the same time, this also requires a fundamental adaptation of the Statutes of HSG Alumni, which we last adapted in May 2018. Besides the revised Statutes, we are also submitting the newly drawn-up Data Processing Regulation for approval. You can find all the documents and explanations below:
We would like to invite you to cast your vote on the Executive Board’s motions by 7 November 2021 in writing*. If the motions are passed, the statutes and the data processing regulations will come into force on 15 November 2021.
Motion 1: The Executive Board moves that the revised Statutes be approved.
Motion 2: The Executive Board moves that the Data Processing Regulation be approved.
The Executive Board of HSG Alumni is clearly of the opinion that we can take a trailblazing step with this revision of the Statutes and the Data Processing Regulation derived from them. On the one hand, we ensure that much of what we already do today will now be explicitly regulated. On the other hand, we are setting the course for up-to-date community management which will also do justice to the requirements of data protection.
To answer your questions and to facilitate decision-making, we will run two virtual information events. Register now and ask your questions live. If you want to submit your questions in advance or have other questions you would like to ask us, you can contact President Mathieu S. Jaus or CEO Daniel Knus.
* In accordance with Art. 27, COVID-19 Ordinance 3, the Executive Board of HSG Alumni has decided to run the Extraordinary General Meeting by way of correspondence.
